Terrence Jenkins

Former Student Government Association president and North Carolina A&T alum Terrence Jenkins has landed his first starring role in the Will Packer-produced, Tim Story-directed feature film, “Think Like A Man.”

The A&T Register

 Three seniors and staff members of the university newspaper, The A&T Register, have been selected as interns to work on the student projects for the National Association of Black Journalists convention in New Orleans, June 18-24.


A&T Hosted U.S. Navy B-1 Band for Their 70th anniversary

On April 14, North Carolina A&T served as host for the U.S. Navy’s first all-African American band. The band was formed in 1942 with 44 members, the majority of whom from N.C. A&T and Dudley High’s marching bands.

The surviving members of the band assembled in the Memorial Union - Stallings Ballroom to celebrate the band’s 70th anniversary.

April Burrage

Watching junior April Burrage and her teammates compete, it is hard to believe Burrage is the one player on the North Carolina A&T tennis team who went three years without playing competitively.

On Friday, May 11, a multitude of Aggies and others will gather at the N.C. A&T Alumni-Foundation Event Center to pay tribute to Dr. Velma R. Speight-Buford ’53 at a fundraiser and roast that is being planned in her honor.

A&T Veteran and Disability Support Services to Host Expo

The Office of Veteran and Disability Support Services at North Carolina A&T State University, will host a Veteran Expo on Wednesday, April 25, 1-3 p.m., in the Memorial Student Union Exhibit Hall.

This expo is intended to educate veterans on the services and programs available to them. Veteran services vendors from across the state will be on hand to give information. This event is free and open to the public.
