International students and scholars

International Students Recognized for Academic Excellence

North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University celebrated the academic and research accomplishments of its international students and scholars on April 19 in the Exhibit Hall of the Memorial Student Union.

Students and scholars represented regions and countries to include the Bahamas, Bangladesh, Barbados, Bermuda, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, the Cameroon, China, Ethiopia, Gabon, Ghana, India, Iran, Jamaica, Kenya, Libya, Malaysia, Mexico, Nepal, Niger, Nigeria, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Spain, Sri Lanka, Syria, Taiwan, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, the Ukraine, the United Kingdom, Vietnam, the West Bank, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

Associate Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs and Dean of Students, Dr. Judy Rashid shared the experience and commended each of the students for receiving an award for academic excellence. The annual affair is also used to enjoy the brilliance of color and differences which make “Aggie Pride” worldwide.

North Carolina A&T continues to attract and enroll international students with phenomenal academic performance capabilities and research acumen. Of the 156 international students enrolled through spring 2012, 49 students established and maintained an overall grade point average of 4.0. Forty seven achieved superior standing with averages between 3.60 and 3.99 and 32 students established strong performance as noted with GPAs between 3.00 and 3.59. We honor the high achievements of international students at N.C. A&T and value the richness they add to our legacy.
