The Division of Information Technology (DoIT) has a new professional development program designed to enhance proficiency in the use of technology.
The Staff Technology Administrative Training Program (STAT) is now available for enrollment. Employees who enroll in the program will have an opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and abilities to increase their productivity using the latest technology.
Participants will become more adept at handling and prioritizing multiple projects, managing time and increasing effectiveness when communicating ideas using technology. Workshops incorporate practice exercises that allow participants to practice what they have learned in a fun, high-energy environment.
The core curriculum consists of workshops designed to introduce employees to computer workspace, computer desktop organization, software installation, virus protection and identity theft, and Lotus Notes. Upon completion of the workshops and three electives, participants are awarded a certificate of completion.
